From the tilted ceilings and original wooden beams to the ancient plaster walls with their rustic textures, this private space is filled with charm and character. The top floor of an apartment building in Stockholm has recently undergone a full renovation resulting in a modern penthouse apartment with industrial elements. The apartment is part of a two-story home with on each floor a complete apartment with its own bathroom and bedrooms. The couple favoured Scandi-style furnishings and were keen to point out that their pet dislikes were velvet and clutter so Rosemarie got working on some moodboards to develop a pared-back look with neutral tones that would go with the existing engineered oak flooring. Discover how modern penthouse designs are taking architecture and interiors to new heights. The couple commissioned Gudbjrg Simonsen, an independent interior architect that emphasises holistic design with a touch of Scandinavian blended with elegance and passion, to remake the apartment that reflects a true sense of calm and peacefulness. This revamped penthouse by CJH Studio has all of this and some more. What I love most about this project: The choice of colors and materials is consistent throughout the place, and consists mainly of layers of greige, with a few contrasting accents. Perfect for balance, flow, and harmony. Browse a large collection of Scandinavian design photos, including Finnish, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish designs and decor ideas on Houzz.
